Flotsams love to swim through the vast oceans of Neopia. They are very quick and can sense danger by studying the temperature of the waters and the movement of the clouds.
The Flotsam is one of the original Neopets. Dolphin-like in appearance, Flotsam love to swim the Neopian oceans and are quick to sense danger. They cannot breathe underwater, so they enjoy seeing how far they can dive while holding their breath.
Flotsams were originally limited edition but no longer are. The Flotsam was originally a goldfish-like creature that was transformed into a dolphin on June 22, 2000. The horn on its head may be a reference to narwhals, a species of whale.
In the Neopets TCG, Flotsam are rather obviously associated with the element of water.
As of June 2007, the Flotsam is ranked 23rd out of 50+ species. Over 3.4 million have been created. July 3rd is Flotsam Day.
